Written to Carol Gray’s Social Story criteria
Each script is written and then audited line by line against Carol Gray’s ten Social Story criteria: first person, present and future tense, literally accurate, patient and reassuring in tone, and weighted toward description over direction. Across the pack the ratio averages 4.2 descriptive sentences to every coaching sentence, and roughly half the sentences affirm the student. The books describe what will happen; they do not promise how a child will feel about it, and no sentence assumes an emotional response on the child’s behalf.

What is in every book
- 4 print-ready PDFs — one for each student on the page: Maya, Leo, Jaylen and Mei — 17–19 pages, 11 × 8.5 in landscape, fonts embedded.
- 1 zip file with all four editable PowerPoint (.pptx) versions, so you can insert student names, your building’s routine, staff names and site-specific details.
- A one-page implementation guide: when to introduce the story, how often to read it, and what to do if it isn’t generalising.
- Body text set in Atkinson Hyperlegible — high contrast, short line lengths.
- A “For grown-ups” page at the end of every book.
Consistency, on purpose
The student in the story stays the same student on every page: same face, same clothes, same white canvas sneakers, and the same room throughout. For a reader using the illustrations to build a mental model of an upcoming event, an inconsistent character is competing information. This is the single most common thing practitioners tell us is missing from free and clip-art-built alternatives.
License — what you may do
Your purchase grants a non-transferable license for personal use and for use within a single classroom or a single clinician’s caseload. You may print unlimited copies for your own classroom or your own caseload, edit the PowerPoint file to insert your own names and details, and display pages on a screen during a session or lesson.
License — what you may not do
You may not resell, share, email, upload or otherwise redistribute the files or edited versions of them, in whole or in part; include them in another product, paid or free; or upload them to a public site, a shared school drive open beyond your own classroom, or a file-sharing service. Our illustrations are AI-assisted and hand-directed: built from fixed character reference sheets, art-directed scene by scene, curated, and reviewed page by page by a person for consistency and accuracy. We say so plainly on every listing.
